The Big Game is getting closer and we’re getting excited! I’ve been getting stocked up on all the things we need to make some of our favorite game day recipes, like football deviled eggs. Plus I’ve been making sure we have all our non-food supplies that we’ll need to make game day perfect.
Traditions are a big part of nearly every sport and football is definitely no different. In fact, I think football fans might have some of the biggest game day traditions of them all. In the last week or so, we’ve started reading a lot of Valentine’s Day books for preschoolers. Bubbles is getting really excited for the holiday for two reasons. First, it’s all about love and hearts, and secondly because it’s the signifier that her birthday is just a few days away.
My Mom kept most of the books from when my brothers and I were little and she’s been mailing me some of them to share with Bubbles as she gets older. So in addition to some of the newer titles I’ve recently found, I’ve also been reading her some of my childhood favorites. Continue reading »

Back when Ashley was still in school and living with us, it was always on my mind to create diabetic friendly meals whenever possible. This was sometimes a challenge when I was trying to cook for both a teenage girl and a tween boy.
