Make-a-Wish has long been a group of which I’ve thought very highly. Putting a smile on a child’s face is always something wonderful, but when it’s a child with a lift-threatening medical condition that could use the extra pick-me-up, it’s even more amazing.
When Bubbles gets just a little older and can better understand the concept, I’d like to go through the process to be a wish-granter and be able to help out financially. Until then, though, and until I have some fundraising plans in place, there’s an easy way that we can all help Make-a-Wish. All you need to do is vote!
LIDS Foundation Tip the Hat Award
The LIDS Foundation, a charitable 501(c)(3) organization with the philanthropic support of LIDS Sports Group, is holding their 3rd annual nationwide “Tip the Hat Award” campaign. The LIDS Foundation will be awarding funds to the top 5 charities based on the number of votes they receive. And Make-A-Wish® Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana is a finalist!
Until February 14th, everyone can vote once for one of five charities to win the grants. Voting takes place here: lidsfoundation.org/2015voting. Please take a minute and vote each day for such a great organization! They’ll be able to grant more wishes, like the ones granted for Autry (above) and Izmael (below).
