It’s official! Disney’s Super Buddies on Blu-ray and DVD is available as of today. We were fortunate enough to receive a review copy a few days ago and let me just say – it is absolutely adorable.
As I’ve mentioned, Bubbles is totally in love with dogs right now. She even has a stuffed dog that we recently brought home that she calls “Super Hero Dog”. So when the Disney Super Buddies Blu-ray showed up she started jumping up and down and asking if we could watch it. Since it was too hot to be outside we decided it was the perfect time to check it out.
All of the beloved Buddies from previous movies – Budderball, Mudbud, B-Dawg, Buddha, and Rosebud – have returned in this new movie. When they gather at Fernfield Farms for a birthday party, they get more than the typical party favor. The dogs find a collection of mysterious rings that grant each of them a super power! Whether it’s super-stretch, super-speed, or other super powers the pups partner together to protect their people from a shape-shifting alien.
Super Buddies kept Bubbles attention from the beginning to end. When it was over she asked if we could watch it again. We did take a break from it for that moment, but at her request we’ve watched it two more times in the past three days. Each time she has snuggled up on the couch with her “Super Hero Dog” and laughed at all the funny situations in which the Buddies find themselves. I can tell that this will receive a lot of views in the next few months.
