This post brought to you by Arby’s. All words and opinions are 100% mine.
Growing up we didn’t have a lot of fast food locations from which to choose. We basically had two, actually, and they were both about 20 minutes away. When I was in junior high, occasionally we’d take a class trip to the roller rink. It was usually to celebrate a holiday break or the end of the school year, and as a treat, the bus would stop at one of the fast food restaurants on the way home so we could have lunch.
A lot of times I’d just grab a drink – fast food can get a little tedious after awhile, especially when you only have two choices. But then one day we noticed some construction while driving through town. And then a few weeks later we were pleasantly surprised to find that an Arby’s had sprung up, finally giving us another choice.
As we all acquired our licenses, you’d find my friends and I eating there at least a couple times per month. And while I was happy to have a new restaurant, I did wish the menu was a tiny bit more robust because – here’s a secret for you – I didn’t really like roast beef. Shocking, I know. At the time I wasn’t a big fan of red meat in general (though that’s changed now), so I ordered a lot of chicken.
My high school-self would be extremely pleased to know that Arby’s continues to listen to their customers, bringing more and varied options to their menu. That includes the new Grand Turkey Club and Grand Turkey and Ham Club. My hubby loves a good club sandwich so these are right up his alley, too. One (or two, in this case) sandwich to please them all!
The Grand Turkey Club has sliced roast turkey, melted Swiss cheese, pepper bacon, leaf lettuce, tomato and mayo, and is served on a toasted Harvest Wheat bun. The Grand Turkey and Ham Club has all of that, plus the addition of sliced ham. Both sandwiches are for a limited time only, so head to the website and find an Arby’s so you can pick one up while they’re around.
