I received a special surprise from Nutrisystem in the mail last week, and I wanted to share it with you.  Look at this cute little guy!

Nutrisystem Bear

Isn’t he cute?  It’s my first 10 pound loss success bear!  He’s chilling out with some of the Nutrisystem Chicken Noodle soup I was going to have for lunch that day (one of my favorite lunch items).  Bubbles has already claimed him for her own, but it does make me feel good to see his flash of red around the house; visual confirmation of a goal achieved is a great reminder for reaching the next goal.

Speaking of goals… I reached my self-set March goal of 7 pounds!  My goal for April, as I mentioned previously, is 5 pounds.  Knowing there was a holiday, plus A2’s 16th birthday party and a few other things this month, I knew there was a good chance there would be a few non-Nutrisystem days, and I wanted to account for that.  Setting stretch goals is important (you don’t always want an easy win), but knowing your circumstances and setting a realistic goal is also important.

Previously: -12.5

Week 13: Even

Total: -12.5

So, no loss this week, but also no gain!  The weather hasn’t really been conducive to taking walks, but it’s supposed to warm up this weekend and into next week, so I hope we can get back to our daily trek.
