We enjoy binging on some Netflix around here every once in awhile. Daredevil, House of Cards, there’s lots of great stuff for hubs and I to watch.
But there’s also a really great amount of Netflix kids shows, and many of them are original series you won’t find anywhere else. Here are some of the Netflix kids shows we’re currently enjoying, as well as some we’re looking forward to the new seasons becoming available.
What’s half truck, half dinosaur and all fun? The Dinotrux! In Dinotrux Season 2 Ty and his best friend Revvit are back, building and battling. The turf war escalates when D-Structs unveils a buzz-saw tail, battles with battering-ram Skya and kidnaps Revvit. Together the team saves the Ottos from a meteor crash, goes underground to escape the Desert Scraptors and builds a racetrack with Ton-Ton’s friends the Dumps.
Dragons: Race to the Edge
If your family enjoyed the How to Train Your Dragon movies (like we did!) you will enjoy Dragons: Race to the Edge which is now in it’s second season. The stakes are higher than ever as Hiccup and Toothless face off against a new band of ruthless Dragon Hunters. Ryker and his army storm Dragon’s Edge with a plan to capture more dragons, the Dragon Riders and the secret-filled Dragon Eye. As they battle these new opponents, Heather goes undercover, Astrid and Tuff defend their turf, and Hiccup must outsmart the hunters to overcome their sheer physical force in the action-packed Season 2.
Bubbles is a little young for Turbo FAST (it’s rated Y7 for kids 7+) but I wanted to share in case you have older kiddos. In Season 3, Turbo and the crew quit racing on the track when they become obsessed with a fantasy racing league, compete in a bobsled race against a Jamaican chicken team and let a reality show wreak havoc. The world’s funniest snails must contend with a gang of outlaw crickets, truck-robbing cargo bandits, a perfect poodle moth and much more.
