The reviewer has been compensated in the form of a Best Buy Gift Card and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free.

A few years ago I realized that I really needed a DSLR.  The point-and-shoot I had been carrying around was fine for daily use but I wanted something a little more professional for the photos I share here.  Plus we had a lot of “big” family events that were coming up (like college and high school graduation ceremonies) and I thought we’d get a lot of use from it.

I’m not one of those people that makes a bigger purchase easily.  I hem and haw and read reviews, then hem and haw some more.  Followed by more reviews, comparison shopping, all culminating in “I’ll just buy it later”.

Fortunately hubby is a lot better at saying “go for it” and he helped me narrow down my choices, eventually settling on a Canon.  I think he actually clicked the “buy” button for me because he knew I’d just sit there and second (and third) guess myself.  I’m really glad he did because I love my Canon Rebel.

  1. My dad and my daughter both would like that. I love the quality of pictures something like that takes, but I am afraid I would be lost on how to use it properly….. I am technologically impaired :)

  2. I would absolutely love that camera as a gift!! I have a dslr, but it’s not a really fancy one.

  3. I have a Canon Rebel T2i and absolutely love it. I bet the 5 would make an amazing gift too!

  4. I have the T5 and I love it. It is one of my favorite cameras!

  5. I would love to upgrade my current camera to this Canon camera.

  6. I have this camera and it’s worked great for the past 2 years – I am not a pro so I am sure I’m not even getting all the functions out of it but it’s been a great family and blogging camera for me!
