This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Gulf County, Florida for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Having lived in Florida – twice now – I can honestly say it’s one of my favorite states.  There’s just so much to do there!  And many of those things can be found in one big area: Gulf County.

Bubbles has been asking to go to the beach for awhile now.  I keep telling her Mama wants to go, too!  I’m definitely anxious to get my toes in some sand and feel the sun on my skin again, especially after the exceptionally long winter we’ve had.

Fortunately, there are plenty of beaches in Gulf County Florida.  If you want a more private area, consider Cape San Blas.  It’s a 17-mile long barrier peninsula known for it’s shell-strewn white sand beaches.  You can also go diving, snorkeling, horseback riding (on the beach!), and much more while there.

Need a little more adventure?  Consider the area known as The Beaches.  Here you’ll find world-famous fisheries whose shrimp boats sparkle at night.  There is also bay-front dining and an ampitheater to watch concerts and movies.  Plus there’s an outdoor fire pit the whole family can enjoy!

I love the wide variety of activities in the area.  It’s perfect for a family like ours, where we have a preschooler, a soon-to-be high school graduate and a soon-to-be college graduate.  Both Ashley and Austin as I’ve mentioned tend to have different ideas of the ideal vacation but between sun, sand, shopping, outdoor activities, and ways to explore and interact with nature, I’m sure we would all have an amazing time on our vacation.

Gulf County, Florida makes you feel like the real you.  And do they’d like you to show it!  They have a new #GCFLnofilter contest on Instagram right now and it’s easy to participate.

Between now and April 17th, head outside and get active.  Snap a selfie while doing the thing you love the most, then post that image to Instagram.  Tag it with #GCFLnofilter and tell @gulfcountyfl what you’re doing in the photo.  You’ll be automatically entered to win a spring getaway to Gulf County!

Weekly prize packs include lodging at someplace along the coast, plus $200 for travel expenses and an extra $150 to spend doing what you love down there.  The photo above of one of our trips to the beaches in Florida was my entry; cannot wait until we can recreate this moment in Gulf County!.  I’m trying to decide what I’d use the $150 to do; right now I’m torn between a fishing excursion for all of us, or horseback riding on the beach.

Oh, and your entry earns a little something extra, too.  For each entry into the #GCFLnofilter contest, they will donate $1.00 (up to $5,000) to Outdoor Nation.  Outdoor Nation hopes to reconnect the milennials with the great outdoors.  So you’ll be doing good while entering yourself to win amazing prizes.

What are you waiting for?  Go enter the #GCFLnofilter Instagram contest, then Come visit GCFL.  And be sure to Like GCFL on Facebook and salute real beauty!
