I received a review copy of Iron Man & Hulk Heroes United in order to facilitate my review. All words and opinions are my own.
While I was in L.A. for the #ThorDarkWorldEvent and #DeliveryManEvent one of the places I had the extreme pleasure to visit was Walt Disney Studios. While there we caught a sneak peek of Marvel’s new Iron Man & Hulk Heroes United. We also had the chance to chat with Executive Producer Jeph Loeb.
He was extremely excited to introduce us to Marvel Animation Studios’ first feature-length, direct-to-video adventure. It’s also marks the historic first occasion of having completely utilizing computer generated technology to create a super hero adventure. The use of this CG animation results in a stunning and vibrant new addition to the animated Marvel University.
The decision to pair Hulk and Iron Man was due in large part to fan interest. Jeph mentioned that they “tend to keep an eye on who folks want to see more of.” I personally think they picked a great pair, even if they are a bit of an unexpected partnership. We were curious as to whom the next duo would be, but Jeph wouldn’t tell, though he did say there was a hint if we watched the movie.
Fortunately Iron Man & Hulk Heroes United is available tomorrow, December 3rd! I received an advanced copy, and I think you’ll like it. My husband was especially impressed with the new Marvel CG Animation. It doesn’t quite look like animation and doesn’t quite look like sketches. It’s really very neat and helps give you that comic book-feel while watching.
Marvel makes history again with one of the greatest Heroic team ups in the universe. Hulk’s brute strength and Tony Stark’s high-tech intellect come together to create a powerful duo necessary to face off against one of the most dangerous enemies.
When “Zzzax,” a seemingly invincible, energy devouring monster threatens to destroy the planet, these two Avengers are mankind’s only hope. Alone, neither can defeat the awesome power of Zzzax. As a team, they just might have a chance – if they can find a way to work together without smashing heads before time runs out!
Be sure to watch all the way past the credits. In true Marvel style there is a little “Easter egg” at the end that gives you the hint that Jeph was talking about. All I can say is that I can’t wait as it sounds like two of my favorite Marvel heroes will be in action together.
Oh, and when you buy Iron Man & Hulk Heroes United Blu-ray Combo Pack you’ll be able to use the enclosed offer to get a free Iron Man MiniMate figurine and digital comic. The MiniMates are awfully cute and perfect for any Marvel fan. Plus they have other ones from the movie you can purchase separately, too!
