This post on shopping for cocktail dresses is sponsored by DressFirst. All words and opinions are my own.
I can’t believe that our trip to walk the red carpet is only a few days away. From the moment I was invited I have been checking out websites for cocktail dresses at least once per day. They’re not exactly something I have a lot of in my closet; when you’ve been working from home for the last 5 years, your wardrobe tends to have more jeans than sparkles.
One of the sites that I ran across is DressFirst. I was looking for a large selection of black, red (for Thor), and green (for Loki) cocktail dresses, and DressFirst didn’t disappoint in that area. Here are a few of my favorites.
After looking at my main color choices, I also peeked around at the other options. We aren’t required to wear black, red, or green, and I didn’t want to limit myself in case I found “the” dress, just in another color. These were some of my favorites:
You may be noticing a trend there. I am kind of loving the one-shoulder look right now. They’re also all knee-length or shorter. That’s because when you’re barely over five feet tall, floor-length styles end up being about 8″ too long, and I really don’t want to chop up a beautiful dress.
In addition to cocktail dresses, DressFirst also has a very thorough line of wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, prom dresses, and evening dresses. They have lots of accessories, too! Shoes of every color, clutches, and plenty of jewelry, too.
