I received a copy of Alpha and Omega 2: A Howl-iday Adventure in order to facilitate my review.  No additional compensation was received and all words and thoughts are my own.

The Alpha and Omega series is expanding just in time for the holidays.  Alpha and Omega 2: A Howl-iday Adventure continues the adventures of Kate and Humphrey, who now have three pups of their own: Stinky, Claudette, and Runt.  Snow is just about to fall and Christmas is coming, and all the wolves are getting ready to celebrate winter together.

Alpha and Omega 2: A Howl-iday Adventure

Unfortunately, some rogue wolves, intent on taking down Kate and Humphrey’s pack, wander into the area.  They cause a distraction and make off with Runt, the smallest of the cubs.  Now they must journey across the wilderness to find and rescue Runt before the winter snow blocks their way home.

If you haven’t seen the first Alpha and Omega movie, you’ll still be able to jump in and watch this without feeling lost.  But if you have seen the first movie, you’ll enjoy some of the references.  There is a bit of the sliding in the hollow logs and swinging across the ravine using Humphrey’s tail that we loved from the original.

With a 46-minute run time, I do think the movie is maybe a bit mislabeled.  It felt a little short to be a sequel, but would have been perfect if billed as a holiday special.  It’s still worth a watch, though.

Alpha and Omega 2: A Howl-iday Adventure DVD

You can pick up a copy of Alpha and Omega 2: A Howl-iday Adventure on DVD or Blu-ray from Amazon or other retailers.  It comes with a digital copy on Ultraviolet, which makes it nice to be able to take with you or access from the cloud if you’re visiting family for the holidays.  All the kiddos can watch the movie while the adults chat and cook.  If you prefer to pick it up in-store, here’s a $3.00 off coupon that you can print and use.

Have you seen Alpha and Omega 2 yet?  If not, do you plan to?
