Disney’s 2013 Oscar Nominations

I’m always sharing my favorite Disney movies and activities with you and today I have more Disney news.  I’m excited to announce that The Walt Disney Studios picked up a total of SEVENTEEN Oscar nods this year!  How amazing is that?  Lincoln was a standout receiving a total of 12, including one for the coveted Best Picture.

I’m glad that they received so many nominations, but I’m a little sad that Wreck-It Ralph, Frankenweenie, and BRAVE are all up against each other.  I want them all to win!  We’ll just have to wait until Sunday, February 24 when the 85th Academy Awards air live on ABC to find out what happens!  In the meantime, you can check out Oscars.com for the full list of nominees and more information.

  2. Well they deserved it! They make some of the best movies out there. I’m glad they are getting some rewards from it. Besides money.

    • That’s an excellent way to put it, Elle – rewards that aren’t money. I’m sure all the people who poured weeks. months, and years into each film appreciate that others loved their work that much!
