Fall means a lot of things – hoodies, pumpkins, falling leaves. But it also means fall premieres of both favorite shows and new offerings.

While I normally find myself checking out ABC for their comedies, their new fall premier of Notorious caught my eye. If you haven’t checked it out yet here are some reasons I think you should.
Notorious on ABC
Piper Perabo – I have loved Piper since she starred in Coyote Ugly. She’s a very fun actress that holds her own in any show I’ve seen. In Notorious, Piper plays Julia George who is the producer of the top rated cable TV news program in the country. She’s a very strong female that doesn’t let personal adversity get her down (like the exchange between her and her boyfriend about halfway through the pilot episode).
The POV – I love “crime shows”. Most of them are either from the point of view of the crime lab or the police. Notorious is from the point of view of a news station and a defense attorney that have partnered up to some degree to influence the public’s opinion and control the narrative.
Ryan Mills – Ryan Mills (played by Ryan Guzman) is the son of the network president. He is foisted on Julia as her new production assistant and she’s not crazy about it. He really wants to show he’s worthy of the job regardless of parentage and goes to great lengths to make Julia happy; it’s really kind of cute.
Notorious airs on ABC at 9pm EST Thursday nights. If the pilot is any indicator, Notorious promises to be a show full of twists and turns – definitely fun Thursday night viewing. Make sure the kiddos are in bed first, though, as I wouldn’t say it’s appropriate for very young viewers.
