Thank you to One2One Network for providing a copy of Michael Buble To Be Loved in order to review.
Michael Bublé has been one of my favorite artists since the first time I heard his voice. A soulful crooner, when he sings I’m instantly transported to the days of the Rat Pack. His style has sometimes been related to the Big Band era of the 20s and I’d definitely agree that many of his songs do have that jazzy, swing feel.

Those eyes!!
Up until now, my favorite album was his Christmas album. His voice + Christmas songs + sitting in front of a fire place = the best way to spend Christmas Eve. But now he has released “To Be Loved”, his sixth album, and I feel like I might have a new favorite. This collection is slightly different than his others because in addition to some great covers, “To Be Loved” includes four songs that Michael wrote himself.
One of his original songs, “I Got It Easy” is one of my favorite tracks on the album. Using lyrics like “I can say honestly, I got it easy!/
I’m not trying to brag about it/So I say I appreciate it completely” he shares how he’s had a pretty easy life and how grateful he is for what he’s been given. Michael said the song “is a reminder to me and everyone to appreciate all the good parts of life.”

As a Reese Witherspoon fan it was also nice to hear her voice paired with his on “Something Stupid”. I didn’t even know she sang, but it’s a nicely done song. Hearing Bryan Adams’ voice again was also another treat; I spent many summer nights during high school listening to his songs.
I think you’ll really enjoy this album. It’s already earned a place on my phone’s playlists, and Ashley has played it from my laptop a few times since returning home from college. It would make a nice addition to your next date night, too!
Which track do you think would be your favorite? Which of his albums do you like most?
