Until just a couple of weeks ago, I didn’t know that Ice Age 4: Continental Drift was due to hit theaters in July. I enjoyed the first Ice Age movie quite a bit, so I’m excited to see this one. They had an Ice Age marathon weekend this past weekend, showing all the previous Ice Age movies. Bubbles is really into animals right now, so she was getting a kick out of them.
I set them to DVR so we’d be able to watch them on Sunday. Before we could watch any of them, though, I had some errands to run. So Bubbles and I headed out to the stores. We popped into Kohl’s and Target, then finished up our trip by picking up groceries. Since it was Sunday, there were a few tasting stations set up. One of the stations was sampling Florida orange juice.
Now, Bubbles is a pretty typical kid when it comes to only wanting to do something when she thinks she’s not supposed to be doing it. She will occasionally drink juice but hasn’t really been the biggest fan of it. It doesn’t matter if it was cut with water or served full strength. She’ll take a sip, and that’s usually it. But because this juice was being served out of a little cup, suddenly it seemed special and she wanted it.
I gave her a few sips just to make sure she was actually going to drink it, and then gave her the cup to try on her own. She did spill a tiny bit but was trying to be so very careful and looked incredibly proud. It was quite cute, actually. I’m not sure what the difference is between tiny plastic cups and a sippy cup, but I just may have to invest in some of those!
The demo lady was showing a few different Florida orange juices that day and was nice enough to give us some of the pros and cons of each. She shared that her favorite was Florida’s Natural. That’s the one we usually buy, too! She likes that it’s not from concentrate (so do we) and I really like that they use only Florida oranges. I also like that it’s 100% all natural; I try to purchase 100% juice whenever possible.
Since Bubbles seemed to now be a fan of OJ, we headed to the back of the store to pick some up. There were lots of juices to choose from, but we did decide on the pulp-free Florida’s Natural (I’m not a fan of pulp).
Once we returned home it was time to watch the Ice Age movies! I poured a little juice into one of Bubbles’ sippys and we snuggled up on the couch to catch up with our buddies Manny, Sid, and the rest of the gang.
