I’ve mentioned it a few times so I apologize if you’re thinking “okay, we get it”. But…
I love bins and baskets. File folders and labels. Binders with plastic sleeves of varying sizes.
I love organizing. Swoon.
So I was excited to receive a Dymo LetraTag label maker to review for you all. So very excited. I immediately started to think of all the things we owned that I could label which I think made my husband nervous because he sat himself on the couch with Baby C. and watched me warily as I opened it up and inserted the batteries.
The LetraTag has so many great features that I didn’t even expect. In addition to being able to change the font and the size of the letters there are lots of great text features like underlining and bolding. You can even select from a number of different borders like trains and flowers – perfect for labeling the kids bins with personalized tags.
And you are able to see the preview of the label on the LCD display (so no “hoping” you spelled everything right). The label tape also comes in a variety of colors for even more custom options.
The first thing I decided to label were my magnetic spice jars. I love the look and convenience of them (and also the space-saving virtue) but the looked a little silly with the torn-off labels from the original jars taped on. But the labels made on the LetraTag? Honestly they look like the tape was custom-sized for those jars. I love it.
Another great use for the LetraTag would be to label all your back to school gear. We all know that kids lose stuff; my youngest brother was notorious for it. I’m not sure if he made it home a single day from elementary school without leaving at least one thing behind.
(Once in junior high he even came home without the pants he left with. How do you forget your pants?)
According to The National Retail Federation, in 2010 parents spent $21.35 billion on back to school items. I wonder how many of those items had to be replaced because they ended up lost, borrowed, forgotten, etc. With the LetraTag more of those items could potentially be returned – and that could be a huge cost-savings.
You can purchase the Dymo LetraTag for around $30 in office supply stores like Staples or from Amazon.
Dymo is hooking up one lucky reader with a LetraTag of their own! Giveaway closed.
The ideas are endless for this. From using in kitchen, kids belongings, house hold storage. I also run a foundation this would be great for it as well to keep better organized. I am wondering how it even would work on making name tags
If I won I would label things in my kitchen, like spice jars, and canisters. I'd also label everything in my sewing cabinet (which is huge and only partial sorted).
