First, let me wish you all a safe New Year’s Eve and a very Happy 2011! I am very excited for all the changes and new experiences that this year will bring. Not only will we be having our baby very soon, the section of the company that I work for is changing hands and while I’ll be doing the same job with the same people, we’ll be employees for a new company. I also hope to have more and exciting things to share with you all here. Another big piece of news for our family for 2011? My youngest brother is getting married in October! I am very excited for him – he is marrying a great girl that we all love and are very happy that she’s going to be part of our family.
Now, for the Target clearance: We headed over to Super Target with the plan to buy one of those gift wrap storage containers they have on sale this week (just $6). I was extremely surprised to find that they still had a LOT of Christmas stuff and it was all 75% off. I got a few rolls of wrapping paper for $0.62 each (Disney Princesses, Tinker Bell, Winnie the Pooh – since we’ll have the little one next year, I thought they’d be great. They also had some plain red in the Christmas section that were $0.62, which are perfect for Valentine’s and year-round), a couple of 40 ct. bags of bows for about $0.40, two boxes of Pillsbury Holiday Funfetti cake mix for $0.41 each, and a big multi-pack of sprinkles/colored sugar for just about $1.50. We didn’t end up getting the storage container because the wrapping paper was taller than the container, but we’re just going to tuck them into a box for now. They also had lots of ornaments, gift bags, candy, cookie kits and LOTS more, so if you’re looking for a deal and you have a Super Target near by, it could be worth it to swing by
