This post about Chris Buescher and the Balance Financial Card is a partnered post. All thoughts and words are my own.

Recently ROUSH Fenway Racing driver Chris Buescher made a pit stop (pun intended) in Louisville this past week as part of the Walgreens Race Around America.  Throughout this cross-country tour he’s helping to build and test an icon of speed and engineering – the ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang.  And the best part is we all get to help!

First, your votes actually choose the course of the race.  Then you can also help make the choice on which upgrades the Mustang gets along the way.  Make smart choices because you could actually win the final result, the completely souped up ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang! Head over and cast your first votes now. Continue reading »

Achieving your health goals is not always the easiest thing to do.  Sometimes it’s a matter of life getting in the way (or that piece of cheesecake looking really good), sometimes it’s a matter of us not having the proper motivation, and sometimes it’s a matter of us not progressing as well as we think we are.

That last one is something I don’t think we always think about, but can actually be a bigger roadblock than you may think.  Sometimes my perception is that “Wow, I walked a lot today!” or “Hey, I stayed inside my calorie target by a lot”.  But without a tracking method, there’s no way to know if that’s true or not. This post on summer treats is sponsored by Global Influence. All words and opinions are my own.

For some people, hearing the jingly music of an ice cream truck rolling down their street is the epitome of summer.  That’s not a memory I can really share.  Growing up in a rural part of Maine, there were no ice cream trucks that came door to door.

There were a handful of times, however, that I recall being able to partake in that particular rite of passage.  When we would go camping there would sometimes be an ice cream truck that would come rolling around in the evenings.  Once you heard the music, you just hoped you had enough time to scrounge up some change for tasty summer treats before they passed by.

This daytime date makeup #WalgreensPaperless paperless coupons shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. (#CollectiveBias) and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.

From the moment I first showed Bubbles the trailer for Planes: Fire & Rescue she has been beside herself with excitement waiting for it to come out.  I told her that she, Mama, and Daddy would all go and see it together and now every time she sees the commercial or the trailer, she bounces around and exclaims “That’s the one we’re going to see in the movie theater!”.  So it’s going to be a family date night.  Or, more accurately, a family date afternoon.

Daytime Date Makeup Essentials #WalgreensPaperless #shop

My daytime date makeup is a little different than what I’d wear for a night on the town, but when I went looking through my makeup stash, I realized I really needed to replace quite a few things.  And when I need cosmetics – or most anything, really – Walgreens is often the first place I stop. The post on The Voice is sponsored by Global Influence. All words and opinions are my own.

I have to admit that I enjoy a lot of the reality TV shows that are out right now. Reality TV at one time was more of a guilty pleasure, but there is such a wide variety of quality shows now that everyone is watching!

Some of our favorites are the musical reality shows, like The Voice. The “blind audition” portion is one of the best additions to any show, I think. It’s awesome that the contestants are being judged solely on their voice at that point.

Of course, it doesn’t hurt that Blake Shelton is on the show, either. I love him as a judge and as a performer, so having him on there makes it fun to watch. I’m also looking forward to Gwen Stefani joining the panel this next season! Continue reading »
