So, you may have noticed that it’s been a little quiet around here the last week or two.  Well, that’s because I’ve been kind of sick.  Started in my head, then my throat joined the party, and finally my lungs were feeling left out so they decided to show up, too.

It’s not a good sign when you cough hard enough that your kiddo covers their ears and complains about the noise.

5 Tips to Stay Healthy During Cold and Flu Season

I’m starting to feel a little better now, thankfully.  I’d like to avoid a repeat of the past few weeks, though, so I’m adding a few things to my routine in an effort to stay well.  Here are a few tips that might help you, too. Continue reading »

Most families try to pack in the activities during the beautiful weather of the summer months. Our family is no different! We have BBQs, road trips, day trips to the zoo and museums, plus just the regular backyard activities in which we engage.

With everything we have going on, we don’t have time to let getting sick slow us down. We do exercise and eat well – Bubbles loves identifying what is and is not a healthy snack – but I like to give us a little extra assurance. So I make sure we get anything we may be missing with vitamins.

Superior Source Vitamins

I’ve loved the convenience of Superior Source vitamins over the last few months. They’re MicroLingual, which means you just slip them under your tongue and they are quickly absorbed into the body, dissolving in just seconds. Here is a little about some of what we’ve been taking lately or will be taking soon: Continue reading »

I am a Superior Source Brand Ambassador. I received compensation and product for sharing this information with you; however, as always, all words and opinions are 100% my own.

For many of us, our 2014 resolutions and goals included one for our health.  Things like walk more, lose weight, train for a marathon, quit smoking, cut back on sugar, be more healthy in general.  As you’re putting your plan together for the remainder of the year, you might want to consider adding vitamins to that plan.

Now, I’m totally not a doctor (though I have watched every episode of House) but after my doctor prescribed B-12 years ago I’ve been a big supporter.  For me, anyway, it’s amazing how different you can feel when your body has the appropriate amount of vitamins and minerals.  Growing up my Mom was the same way with Vitamin C; when she forgot to take it for a few days, she just didn’t feel as well.

Everyone’s systems are different, but Vitamin C, Vitamin D, and Vitamin B-12 are ones I know a lot of people take.  I meet more and more people every day that are even being prescribed Vitamin D, B-12, and others by their doctors.  And this time of year everyone I run into on the street is talking about Vitamin C to stay ahead of colds and other winter-weather yuckiness.

I am a Superior Source Brand Ambassador.  I received compensation and products in exchange for sharing this information with you.  All words and opinions are my own.

As a Superior Source Brand Ambassador each month I get to bring you new products and vitamins.  This month I would like to introduce you to the Vitamin C Melts.  With cold and flu season upon us, the timing couldn’t be better!

All Superior Source Vitamins are MicroLingual.  With supplements that are swallowed, as much as 50% of the potency is lost in the acidic environment of the stomach.  These vitamins, however, use under-the-tongue technology that works fast, dissolving in just seconds.

The Vitamin C Melts come in two flavors: “Sour” Cherry and “Tangy” Orange.  I received a bottle of each and while they do love up to their descriptive names, I enjoyed both flavors.  I also like that you have the option of under-the-tongue placement or chewing the melts.  They have no artificial sweeteners and are sugar- and preservative-free.
