Recently I had the opportunity to participate in an Abigail Spencer interview. That interview and this post are a partnership with the Role Mommy Writer’s Network. During the interview we talked about lots of things, including her new show Timeless on NBC.
If you’re not familiar with Timeless, it airs on NBC at 10pm EST. It’s about a team of unlikely heroes – including Lucy, a history professor, her bodyguard, a soldier named Wyatt, and Rufus, a scientist – that are trying to capture criminal mastermind Garcia Flynn. Parenthood is one of my favorite series that has been on TV in the last few years. There’s so much right with that show, and very little (any?) that’s wrong with it.
Every season, hubs and I try and pick one or two shows that are basically our 30- or 60-minute midweek date nights. Something family-friendly (because, Bubbles) that we can watch together and really get into. Parenthood was one of these shows. Continue reading »
Fans are already buzzing about the Starz Outlander series. Have you had the chance to check it out yet?
If not, you really need to. You can even watch a sneak peak on three screen types thanks to Time Warner Cable. So there’s no excuse not to enjoy at least a little Outlander love.
As I shared a couple of weeks ago, I had the chance to preview the first two Starz Outlander episodes. At that time I promised no spoilers, but now that the series is in full swing, I can share a bit more of my thoughts and opinions on what I’ve seen so far.
First I have to say, one of the unexpected “characters” of the show is definitely the Scottish countryside. It really helps immerse you in the time period. When the sun comes peeking through the trees or you see the fog and mist rolling across the hills, you really feel like you’ve been transported right along with Claire. Continue reading »
