This shop and my Tropical Smoothie recipe have been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. Opinions are mine, “how did my baby get so big?” back-to-school tears may also be yours. #BoostBackToSchool #CollectiveBias

Bubbles starts kindergarten this week!  She has asked every day for a week if it’s time to start yet, which with as often as we’ve had school kick-off events feels like it has.

This layered Tropical Smoothie recipe is delicious and refreshing, a great way to start any morning!

The big morning is actually on Wednesday and I’ve been planning ways to make it even more special.  I want a few fun touches, but I especially want it to start with a breakfast that will keep her full and satisfied until lunch.  Concentrating is hard enough when you’re a kid, a rumbling stomach just makes it harder. A few weeks ago I shared with you a Mom-to-Be Mother’s Day gift idea as a way to share the announcement that my sister-in-law Abby and my brother Sam are pregnant with their first baby.  I am so excited that I’m going to be an Auntie, as I have a lot of great memories of doing fun things with my aunts.

Classic Egg Salad Sandwiches - this egg salad recipe is easy and delicious.

To extend the fun, over the next few weeks I’m going to be sharing lots of baby and baby shower fun.  Baby shower recipes, crafts, DIY gifts and decorations, must have baby items and more.  Follow along with hashtag #BabyCBabyShower on Twitter and Instagram so you don’t miss any of the fun. My family loves sandwiches, especially hot ones.  In fact, when we order from the local pizza place my husband almost always orders a hot sandwich instead of pizza.  And like most kids Bubbles loves a good grilled cheese.

Hot Italian Panini Recipe #PepItUp

A couple of years ago I splurged and bought a panini press.  I knew it would get lots of use – there’s just something about toasted bread filled with warm, melty cheese and other add-ins that can’t be beat.  And I was definitely right as we use it at least once a week. Continue reading »

This post brought to you by Arby’s. All words and opinions are 100% mine.

Growing up we didn’t have a lot of fast food locations from which to choose.  We basically had two, actually, and they were both about 20 minutes away.  When I was in junior high, occasionally we’d take a class trip to the roller rink.  It was usually to celebrate a holiday break or the end of the school year, and as a treat, the bus would stop at one of the fast food restaurants on the way home so we could have lunch.

A lot of times I’d just grab a drink – fast food can get a little tedious after awhile, especially when you only have two choices.  But then one day we noticed some construction while driving through town.  And then a few weeks later we were pleasantly surprised to find that an Arby’s had sprung up, finally giving us another choice.
