By the number of times I’ve mentioned how much Bubbles loves Disney Planes, you can probably guess that we’re anxiously waiting on pins and needles for the Planes: Fire & Rescue movie. It flies into theaters on July 18th, 2014 and really, if we could just time-travel to get there and see the movie, I’m sure Bubbles would approve. It’s one the entire family can watch together, and you can bet we’ll be there on opening weekend.
At the start of 2013 I shared with you my favorite Disney movies of 2012. There were so many great new additions this past year that I wanted to share a 2013 Disney movies roundup with you. All of these movies – listed in chronological order – are can’t-miss and if you didn’t catch them at the theater or pick up DVD copies yet, you should plan to for this year.

I received a copy of Disney’s Planes in order to facilitate my review. All words and opinions are my own.
A couple of days before I left for California, we received a copy of the Disney’s Planes Blu-ray Combo Pack in the mail. Big fans of the Cars movies, we had been excitedly awaiting the home release of Planes. When Bubbles saw the cover she immediately asked if we could put it in and watch it.
Which, of course, we did. Bubbles crawled up on the couch and sat there without squirming for the entire movie. I think that tells you right off the bat that it’s an amazing movie; anything that can capture the attention of a toddler has to be good.

Thank you to Disney for covering my press trip expenses. All thoughts and words are my own.
While visiting Disney Toon Studios on our press trip we had the amazing opportunity to speak with Planes Director Klay Hall and Producer Traci Balthazor-Flynn. We did a number of awesome things during our trip, but this was definitely one of the highlights. Not only was Disney Toon Studios a cool place to be, but hearing the passion Klay and Traci had for the film was beyond inspiring.
Thank you to Disney for covering my trip expenses to allow me to attend this great event! All words and opinions are my own.
Some days you wake up to happy surprises. You find $5 in the pocket of the jeans you put on, your spouse filled your gas tank so you don’t have to stop on the way to work, maybe the person in front of you at the coffee shop pays for your latte. And then there’s the surprise I woke up to the other day.
On that day, I opened an email that I had to read a couple of times to actually soak in. I was being invited to travel to LA and attend the red carpet premiere of Thor: The Dark World (in theaters 11/8)! Yep, that’s right – myself, along with 24 other bloggers, will soon be jumping on planes and heading to California. The Avengers and all the stand-alone movies that support the characters is one of my all-time favorite franchises, so this is incredibly exciting for me. Continue reading »
