I participated in the Train Bulletproof Picasso album review program as a member of One2One Network. I was provided a free album to review but all opinions are my own.

Anytime I’m provided with the opportunity to review an album, I almost always accept it. It’s hard to say no to great tunes, especially when it’s a group like Train.

Train is a three-time Grammy winning band out of San Francisco and even if you think you haven’t heard of them, it’s likely that a few of their lyrics are floating around in your head. “Hey, Soul Sister”, “Drops of Jupiter”, and “Calling All Angels” are a few of the songs they’re most known for (and happen to be a few of my own personal favorites). Watching the evolution of technology over the years has been interesting to me.  Especially when it comes to portability and products being where you need them, when you want them.

Perfect Pairing: JBL Portable Bluetooth Speaker & Your Cell Phone #AudioFest

Look at the technology related to music, for example. We’ve gone from battery-powered boomboxes and portable cassette players, to portable CD players, then MP3 players.  And now with access to cloud-like storage and more space to download, many people have simply switched to using their cell phones are their portable music device. Many of us made fitness goals for the year.  As January rolls to a frigid end, it’s a good time to do a quick check-in on how those resolutions are coming.  While it’s only been a little over three weeks, evaluating your plans now gives you the chance to make the changes necessary to get back on track if you’ve slipped a little.

This cold weather hasn’t really helped.  Who wants to – or even can – get outside when the thermometer reads below zero?  Fortunately Bubbles keeps my heart rate up with all the dancing and jumping around she likes us to do together.

Pair the Shine Fitness Monitor with yurbuds to #GetMotivated @BestBuyWolf

It’s been a few months since I started using my Shine fitness monitor to keep track of my activities.  While it’s not really designed to track all that dancing, it does at least track my steps so I have an idea of if I’m moving enough, or not.  On the days I need a bit more activity to reach my goal, I do have the option of using our treadmill. I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Soundfreaq. I received a Soundfreaq Sound Spot to facilitate my review.

Our family really enjoys music.  Most any time of day music is being played on a phone or laptop, or even through the television using one of our gaming consoles.  There’s often live music, also, as Ashley and Austin both still play guitar, drums and keyboard regularly.

During the holidays, though, there are even more occasions to play music.  We like to have it as a backdrop while decorating the Christmas tree, have songs to sing while we bake cookies or make Christmas dinner, and to be able to have playing softly in the background when we’re entertaining.  And of course joyful tunes to play on Christmas morning!

I am participating in a blog post campaign for One2One Network and Walt Disney Records.  All thoughts and words are my own.

One of my favorite parts of walking through the Disney parks or watching a Disney movie is the amazing music that accompanies them.  Many consider Disney Music a genre of it’s own and is probably the most recognized and beloved song catalog in the world.  I know that any time I hear the songs, I can’t help but sing – and in some cases dance – along.

The first time I visited Walt Disney World was when I was 6 years old.  Music was playing everywhere we went.  From the Electrical Light Parade choreography and daytime parades, the queues for the shows and rides, even to the waiting areas transportation – everything was perfectly created to invoke a specific feeling.
