Thank you to Disney for covering all my expenses to attend the Delivery Man red carpet premiere. All words and opinions are my own.

Phew!  I just returned from my trip to L.A. and to say that I’ve had a whirlwind few days would be an understatement.  I have so much to share with you all over the next few days, but I wanted to start with one of what was to be many amazing #DeliveryManEvent experiences – the Delivery Man red carpet premiere.

Delivery Man Red Carpet Premiere at the El Capitan Theatre #DeliveryManEvent

It was really kind of a surreal experience.  The El Capitan Theatre where the premiere was held was right across the street from our hotel- the amazing Loews Hollywood Hotel – so when we stepped outside, we were immediately surrounded by lights and people.  Delivery Man was highlighted on the marquee, and the air was full of energy. Lots of great kids movies (and some for adults, too!) in this week’s weekly entertainment roundup.  I have to say, the announcement of Second Screen Live for The Nightmare Before Christmas has us strongly considering a quick road trip to Tennessee.  It’s one of my favorite movies from when I was in high school and I think it would be cool to see it in conjunction with that technology.

I received a copy of The Little Mermaid Diamond Edition in order to facilitate my review.  All words and opinions are my own.

The Little Mermaid has been on my Top 5 Disney movie list pretty much all my life.  I can almost quote the entire thing, and I can definitely sing every word to every song.  You have to love whosits and whatsits.  Plus I could listen to Jodi Benson’s voice all day long.

I really thought it would be a movie that Bubbles would enjoy, too, but up until recently my only copy was an old VHS.  Crazy, I know.  But when we received The Little Mermaid Diamond Edition Blu-ray Combo pack and I was finally able to introduce her to the magic of mermaids and love at first sight (or speak, in this case).  Turns out I was also introducing my husband to the movie.  I could not believe that he had not seen The Little Mermaid, especially because he never mentioned anything when we watched the stage show at Hollywood Studios in Disney World.

While I do love Ariel, I have to say my favorite character is probably Sebastian.  I love that little crab.  He cares about Ariel so much and tries so hard to keep her out of trouble.  And when she finds herself in a pickle despite his efforts, then he jumps in with both claws to help her in any way he can – even if he’s at risk of the wrath of King Triton. I received a copy of Lala-Oopsies A Sew Magical Tale in order to facilitate my review.  No additional compensation was received and all words and opinions are my own.

There are some interesting new additions to the world of Lalaoopsy!  If your kiddos are fans of the original, then they’re likely to enjoy this new adventure, also.  And if you’ve never heard of the rag doll-esque characters, that’s okay!  You don’t need to have watched the original Lalaloopsies to enjoy Lala-Oopsies: A Sew Magical Tale.

Lala-Oopsies A Sew Magical Tale The Movie - Now on DVD

This new DVD introduces a new group of princess ballerinas, fairies and mermaids – the Lala-Oopsies, based on the line of toys with the same name.  Some of the new characters include: Continue reading »
