I’m kind of a fan of getting a good deal on something especially when it doesn’t cost me anything extra. That’s why I love the Kroger Fuel Points Program. I get significant savings on my gas bill just by doing my regular grocery shopping.
The program works like this:
- Shop at Kroger.
- When you’re checking out, have the cashier scan your free Kroger Plus Card (like a loyalty card). You can also scan it yourself if you use the self check-out.
- For every $1 that you spend on groceries, you receive one point. Gift cards (with a few exclusions) give you 2 points per dollar.
- Once you’ve reached 100 Fuel Points you’ll receive 10 cents off per gallon at the Kroger fuel pump and at participating Shell stations.
- Ready to buy gas? Simply scan your Plus Card at the pump and it will ask you if you’d like to use your discount. Depending on how many Fuel Points you have, you can save up to $1 per gallon at a Kroger pump (10 cent max at a Shell station).
