While Christmas is my favorite holiday, Halloween ranks a close second. My Gram loved to cook and bake and spread that love to friends and family by entertaining and making sure everyone was always well-fed. As farmers, Halloween often came at the close of a very long and hard harvest, and a Halloween party was the perfect way to celebrate.
It started off kind of small but over the years there grew to be up to a hundred guests that came and went through their house. While I don’t throw a party of that size every year, I do like to make up a variety of Halloween treats to serve to friends and family that stop by.
