Thank you to JumpSport for providing us with an iBounce trampoline for kids.

Bubbles has loved to jump and bounce since she the day she discovered she could do it.  She’s actually a fairly (in my humble opinion, of course) athletic 2-year-old and she can get some decent air now and then.  I want to do what I can to encourage being active now while she’s young so that it’s a part of her lifestyle as she gets older.

I wasn’t sure if she was old enough for a trampoline of any kind but then I found the iBounce trampoline from JumpSport.  It’s rated for ages 2-5 (up to 80 pounds) which made me think that it could be a good starter for Bubbles.  It also has attached handle bars which would give her a little extra stability as she really grows into her jumping skills. New Year’s Eve for Kids

New Year's Eve Ideas for Kids or Noon Year's Eve for Kids

Kids love opportunities to celebrate – and they love excuses to stay up late even more!  New Year’s Eve addresses both of those joys.  But staying up until midnight or later can be rough on (or impossible for) some kids and sometimes the thought of dealing with tomorrow’s crankiness from lack of sleep can be a little daunting for parents.  It may make more sense for your family to have a Noon Year’s Eve party instead of the traditional New Year’s Eve party.  Whichever route you decide to take, here are some fun party ideas for kids! School is out and summer is here!  The good news: lots of free days for the kiddos to play.  The bad news: lots of free days for the kiddos to get bored.  Matter of Cents and I want to help you avoid the glazed-over eyes and the “I’m bored” whine with these fun activities for kids from Pinterest.

This checklist of 100 Things To Do this summer should be a good start!

Activities for Kids: 100 Things To Do This Summer

Once you go through those, here’s another 100 Things To Do this summer!

Activities For Kids: 100 More Things To Do This Summer

Try a weekly Family Appreciation Night this summer.  Have it in the backyard as a picnic or along with a camp-out for an extra-special event.

Have the kiddos save Batman and Robin (or any little character!) from a frozen prison by shooting the ice blocks with a water gun.

Water balloon pinatas!  What a fun way to cool off during those hot summer days.  You could add some glitter if you have a sparkly princess at home, or dress the kids in clothes you don’t care about and fill the balloons with colored water and let them spray themselves in a rainbow.

Making the most of a dollar is something I think most families are still being considerate of, but balancing that with wanting to provide fun and nurturing activities for your family to participate in can be a challenge.  Taking advantage of free kids activities is one great way to do that: you really can’t get any more cost effective than free.  There are more of these types of events around than you might be aware of, you just need to know where to look.
