I have a little confession.  I think I enjoy playing with DIY slime nearly as much as Bubbles does.  It’s relaxing and a good way to de-stress.

How do you teach toddlers to be thankful?  With Thanksgiving looming just days away, it’s a question that has been on my mind.  I want Bubbles to be able to put meaning to the holidays and not just look at them as a time that everyone gets together to eat.

I recently was flipping through the Healthy Living Made Simple app on my iPhone (it’s also available for the iPad) and I came across an article on teaching toddlers thankfulness.  The app is a companion for the online magazine from Sam’s Club.  It had some good information – plus a nice reassurance that it’s completely normal for your toddlers to not always remember to say thank you before opening a gift or to grumbling about what they have versus what they want. Many of us are starting the New Year by tackling organization projects.  For us, our three main organization projects for January are the garage, a storage closet that was turned upside-down by the holidays, and our pantry.  I’m one of those people who actually look forward to labeling, sorting, and putting things in their place so I’m excited to roll up my sleeves and get to work.
