I like to think of myself as an organized person, and I love actually organizing things. But sometimes between work, motherhood and being a wife, my brain can get a little scattered. An idea will hit me and I’ll say “oh, I have to remember to look that up” – and then five minutes later, it’s left my mind for the next six months.

2 Easy DIY Bird Feeders Kids Can Make

Fortunately with a smartphone I lose less ideas than I did previously. I can jot myself a note, send a text to my husband with that hubby-do list request, or even look up the name to that song I can’t quite remember and stop driving myself nuts. But even more importantly, when inspiration hits, I can do something about it. Continue reading »

Easy DIY Sidewalk Paint Tutorial

Apparently I wasn’t the only one who felt that way, as when I walked outside nearly the entire neighborhood was out.  There were lawn mowers being gassed up, lawns raked, garages being cleaned.  We all had spring cleaning fever and no one was going to let the opportunity to get some work done pass us by before the rain started to fall again. Putting together a basket for her is one of my favorite parts of the season.  Last year I made her a DIY tutu skirt basket and added a homemade playdough carrot.  She had such fun with that aspect of it that I decided I wanted to do something similar this year. Continue reading »

A few weeks ago I suggested to my Mom that it would be great if they could come out this year for the holidays.  We bounced back and forth between Christmas and Thanksgiving, and due to work schedules we settled on Thanksgiving.  By choosing to come in November, it meant that my brother Jeff was also able to come, an extra treat!

DIY Guest Welcome Basket for Entertaining House Guests #HolidayMadeSimple

As soon as I knew they were coming, I started working on prepping the guest room.  Just because it was my family coming doesn’t mean I didn’t want to make their visit special for them.  So one of the items on my to-do list was to make a DIY guest welcome basket. Continue reading »
