Entertainment Roundup: Disneynature's Bears - Earth Day, 2014

Disneynature’s Bears will be the fifth release from Disney’s newest film label.  It will open in theaters on April 18th, 2014 to celebrate Earth Day.  Make plans to see it during opening week as Disneynature, via the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund, will make a donation to the National Parks Foundation, the official charity of America’s national parks.  Check out the adorable bears in the clip below. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire #CatchingFire

The first track of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” soundtrack is about to be released.  On August 26th “Atlas” by Coldplay will be available for purchase.  This is the first time that the multi-Grammy winning band has recorded an original song for a major motion picture.  This is in preparation for Catching Fire‘s November 22nd theatrical release.  The first partnership between Republic Records and Lionsgate yielded the Grammy-winning, chart-dominating “The Hunger Games: Songs From District 12 And Beyond” featuring Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, and others. Monsters University

Monsters University - Now Playing #MonstersU

In case you missed it, Monsters University opened last week and topped the box office.  MU took in $82 million during it’s opening weekend and it’s no doubt – it’s a scarily good movie!  If you haven’t seen it yet this weekend would be a good time to do so.  And if you have a Monsters University fan on your hands there are lots of fun MU toys and books available right now (those fraternity and sorority bean bag plushes are awfully cute). I’m pretty sure that my Dad loves Disney almost as much as I do. Starting with our very first trip when I was in 1st grade he went out of his way to make it special for me (much like he went out of his way to make most things in my life special). Later in life, when I left the nest and attended college in Florida, he would drive me down (from Maine) at the start of every school year. He always made sure, though, that we had a chance to swing by Disney before hitting the dorms, though.

So I think he’d very much approve of the below messages from Mike and Sulley and Dusty and Skipper.
