It’s one of my favorite days of the year, when my friends at Disney send us the new Disney movies 2018 lineup! Disney movies have been and will always be near and dear to my heart, so I love finding out what dates to circle on my calendar.

One of my all-time favorite Disney movies is The Lion King. The story, the songs, the animation – I just loved everything about it.

Hakuna Matata Taters - aka Loaded Tater Tots. The perfect companion to a Lion King movie night!

While Bubbles has watched a lot of The Lion Guard, she had never sat down to watch The Lion King with me. So when we received a copy of The Lion King Signature Edition on Blu-ray, I thought it was the perfect time to convince her to join me – especially when I added Timon & Pumba’s Hakuna Matata Taters to the mix.

Make Way for Fresh Pineapple Fried Rice and Disney’s Moana

Disney’s Moana is one of my favorite movies from the last few years.  We received a copy last week from our friends at Disney and watched it three times with two different groups of people over the weekend.

This fresh Pineapple Fried Rice recipe is a great way to celebrate the release of Disney's Moana. Ham, pineapple, and peppers are perfect compliments to each other in this yummy fried rice.

When new movies release, I really love doing a movie-themed recipe or craft to enjoy with my family while we watch.  Originally I wanted to do something with coconuts, because after seeing Moana in theaters I knew they were a focus in the song “Where You Are“.  But it’s not exactly coconut season in Kentucky, so instead, I decided to make Pineapple Fried Rice. Disney’s The BFG was my surprise hit of 2016.  The story is a childhood favorite for many, so I expected the movie to be good. What I didn’t expect was for it to be great – which it was.

Make these easy DIY Dream Jars inspired by Disney's The BFG! Just 3 items needed, including my free printable labels

The visuals of the movie were especially amazing. One of Bubbles’ favorite parts of the movie was when Sophie and The BFG went to Dream Country to collect the dreams.  It was absolutely magical to watch the dreams zip around while Sophie chased them with delight. Continue reading »
