This is a partnered post with myself, Champions for Kids and The Motherhood to introduce the Snacks for Students program. All words and opinions are my own.

Over the years I’ve worked with Champions for Kids a few different times.  The concept behind Champions for Kids is really simple: it’s an organization that makes it easy for you to give to kids in your own community.  There are a number of different programs they host throughout the year from food to books to toiletries and more.

Champions for Kids: making it easy to give to kids in your own local communities #SnacksForStudents

The ‘your own community’ part is one of the biggest reasons I’ve enjoyed partnering with Champions for Kids the last few years.  There are, of course, plenty of people that need our help worldwide, but it’s important to not overlook those in our own backyard, either.  And now for the first time, nearly everyone in the country can get involved in providing for their communities. I participated in this program on behalf of Champions for Kids and The Motherhood. All opinions are my own.

If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile you’ve heard me mention Champions for Kids and their SIMPLE giving projects.  I’ve participated in a number of their projects in the past, from collecting school supplies, to donating books, to collecting and donating oral care supplies.  It’s fun to take Bubbles with me to pick out items and then relay the concept of giving to her as we do.

Colgate and Champions for Kids SIMPLE Giving Project

Champions for Kids has recently partnered with Colgate to kick off another SIMPLE giving project.  Oral care is such an important thing, and most oral care issues are preventable with the correct regimen.  And because the donations collected through SIMPLE giving projects are distributed in your local community, you know the help you’re providing may be going to help the family right down the street. I was able to shop for and donate healthy snacks for kids as part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias.  All thoughts and words are my own.

Last month I had the opportunity to share with you ways that you could give back in your community.  This month I have another new way for you to get involved!  You can join myself – and many others – in purchasing healthy snacks for kids in the Dole Champions for Kids August project.

The number of people that go hungry in the United States every day is sad and, for many, startling.  Considering that the US has always been looked at as the land of plenty, you just don’t expect it.  But as kids return to school this month, many of them will be worrying not about having the right notebook, but about whether or not they will have enough to eat to get them through the day. I participated in a Champions for Kids SIMPLE Service Project as part of a sponsored campaign for Collective Bias®.  All words and opinions are my own.

July is slowly melting away and before you know it school will be back in session.  Most of us are thinking about spending a few more days splashing in the pool or how we can fit in one last road trip while we still have time.  I’d like to ask you consider adding one more item to your to-do list: join us in participating in a Champions for Kids SIMPLE Service Project.

Champions for Kids Tooth Tunes Donations #Spinbrush4Kids

This month we collected donations as part of the Champions for Kids and Arm & Hammer Spinbrush SIMPLE Service Project designed to bring attention to kids in need.  Many families struggle on a daily basis to provide food and shelter; for them, much outside of those two things are considered luxuries.  It’s even more challenging during the summer when schools are out and the assistance provided by school programs is not being provided. Collecting books for kids in the Big Help Book Drive!

Simple Service Project - Collecting Books For Kids #NickCFK

Last week I shared with you the newest Champions for Kids project that my family and I were participating in.  Being a huge fan of reading and books, I was excited that the September SIMPLE Service project was all about collecting books for kids in need!  As part of the project, I hosted a Nickelodeon Big Help Book Drive.
