Over the past few weeks, we’ve been enjoying watching Thor: The Dark World Blu-ray/DVD combo pack. I was excited when I found out that we’d be receiving a screener copy of the disc; you may remember that I actually had the honor of walking the Thor: The Dark World red carpet and watching the film at the premier, so I was chomping at the bit for the chance to see it again.

I also was excited that everyone was going to finally get to see the movie I’d been raving about for months.  Not everyone had the opportunity to catch it in theaters, so nearly literally as soon as I carried it in the door everyone was asking when we were going to watch it.  I was anxious for them to see it and share their thoughts (and I was anxious to see Tom Hiddleston again), so I popped it in the Blu-ray player and we all sat down to watch. I received the Despicable Me 2 DVD/Blu-ray Combo Pack in order to facilitate my review.  All thoughts and words are my own.

I vividly remember going to the first Despicable Me movie with my husband and Austin.  I remember it because one of my favorite lines from any movie has since become “It’s so fluffy!” shouted by Agnes as she’s handed a stuffed unicorn.  I’m not entirely sure why it struck us all as so funny, but it’s been kind of an inside joke since then.

Despicable Me 2 DVD and Blu-ray Combo Pack

When Despicable Me 2 came to theaters this past summer, we decided that it would be Bubbles’ first theater movie.  She loves the little yellow minion buddies and we didn’t really anticipate any scary parts.  She did pretty well, but eventually got fidgety enough that we decided to leave before it was over (no one wants to be those people). I received a review copy of Iron Man & Hulk Heroes United in order to facilitate my review.  All words and opinions are my own.

While I was in L.A. for the #ThorDarkWorldEvent and #DeliveryManEvent one of the places I had the extreme pleasure to visit was Walt Disney Studios.  While there we caught a sneak peek of Marvel’s new Iron Man & Hulk Heroes United.  We also had the chance to chat with Executive Producer Jeph Loeb.

He was extremely excited to introduce us to Marvel Animation Studios’ first feature-length, direct-to-video adventure.  It’s also marks the historic first occasion of having completely utilizing computer generated technology to create a super hero adventure.  The use of this CG animation results in a stunning and vibrant new addition to the animated Marvel University. I received a copy of The Little Mermaid 2 and Ariel’s Beginning 2-Movie Collection in order to facilitate my review. No additional compensation was received and all thoughts and words are my own.

The Little Mermaid has always been one of my favorite Disney movies.  The songs, the colors, the under the sea adventure, the romance – it’s the whole package.  I did always wonder, though, about the origins of the kingdom of Atlantica and what Ariel and all her siblings were like when they were little.

I also wondered about what happened with Ariel and Eric after they were married.  Was it truly a happily ever after story?  Did Ariel regret giving up her fins and family for a set of legs and love?

The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning and The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea 2-Movie Collection

To answer those questions, a few years ago Disney released both Ariel’s Beginning and The Little Mermaid 2.  I didn’t have the chance at the time to pick up either copy but now that both are available in one collection, I knew it was time to add them to my library.  Especially because Bubbles enjoys The Little Mermaid, also, and these would be something we could watch together. I received copies of these two Disney holiday classics in order to facilitate my review.  All thoughts and words are my own.

Christmas and Disney are two of my very favorite things.  And any time the two are married together, I’m even happier.  So when I saw that two of my favorite Disney Christmas movies were now available on Blu-ray Combo Packs, I knew I needed to add them to our holiday classics collection.

Winnie the Pooh A Very Merry Pooh Year

Watching Holiday Classics with Disney Buddies

When our DVDs arrived I gave Bubbles the choice of which one she would like to watch first.  She chose Winnie the Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year which I have seen but she had not.  We, of course, had to snuggle with her Christmas-themed Pooh and Eeyore while we watched. Continue reading »
