I am participating in a blog post campaign for One2One Network and Walt Disney Records.  All thoughts and words are my own.

One of my favorite parts of walking through the Disney parks or watching a Disney movie is the amazing music that accompanies them.  Many consider Disney Music a genre of it’s own and is probably the most recognized and beloved song catalog in the world.  I know that any time I hear the songs, I can’t help but sing – and in some cases dance – along.

The first time I visited Walt Disney World was when I was 6 years old.  Music was playing everywhere we went.  From the Electrical Light Parade choreography and daytime parades, the queues for the shows and rides, even to the waiting areas transportation – everything was perfectly created to invoke a specific feeling.

I recently received a digital copy of Yanni’s new CD Truth of Touch to review.  Truth of Touch is Yanni’s first instrumental release of original compositions in over eight years.

I really didn’t have any prior experience with Yanni other than when I was hearing his name being tossed around as a great new instrumental musician.  I am sure that I must have heard a song or two of his, but none that I remember or could name.  His style of music is also not something that I would likely have spent too much time dwelling on as a junior high student (we were far too busy seeing how tall we could get our bangs and dressing in way too much neon).
