I received Monopoly Empire and Transformers products in order to facilitate my review. All thoughts and words are my own.

I have long loved the board game Monopoly.  There were some serious marathons of the game in my house growing up, too.  My father has more patience than any person I’ve ever met and he would sit for hours upon hours and play with me, long after others had given up.

Monopoly Empire

Monopoly Empire Board Game from Hasbro

While the classic version will probably always be my favorite, we definitely are having fun with one of the newest iterations, Monopoly Empire.  In Monopoly Empire everything – the properties, the pieces, the cards – get a little shake-up with modern twists.  You won’t see a battleship or Board Walk, but you will see a Coca-Cola bottle and Samsung. I received Bed of Nails products in order to facilitate my review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

With the start of the year on the horizon, many people are turning their thoughts to making resolutions.  One goal I often hear, especially from women, is to try and figure out how to find a few moments of “me” time.  Five or 10 minutes here and there to decompress, destress, and relax.

Bed of Nails Mat - Pink

Something to consider to enhance your “me” time in 2014 are products from Bed of Nails.  These aren’t what you might think of when you think of relaxing.  The Bed of Nails mat and pillow are actually covered in thousands of tiny little plastic “nails” designed to stimulate the acupressure points in your body. I received Tickety Toc toys in order to facilitate my review.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

If you have toddlers you’re probably familiar with the show “Tickety Toc”.  The adorable twins Tommy and Tallulah are responsible for “chime time” every hour, on the hour.  Their friend, Pufferty the Train, takes them to and from their task each time.  In between, they have lots of fun adventures with their friends McCoggins, Hopparoo, Tooteroo, Madam Au Lait and others.

Tickety Toc Toys

Bubbles loves to sing the theme song (it’s very catchy) and knows a number of the show’s catchphrases, like when Tommy and Tallulah ask each other “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” and “Well if you’re sure, I’m sure.”  And now thanks to some great Tickety Toc toys, she can create her own adventures for the tick-tocketeers. I received Super Duper products in order to facilitate my review. All thoughts and words are my own.

A bit ago I shared with you our experiences with the MagneTalk game from Super Duper.  Creating stories with the magnets and scenes was creating lots of opportunities for imaginative play, so we were looking through the site to see if there were any other similar games.  There ended up being a number of games we found that looked like they would be fun.

MagneTalk Mealtime Game from Super Duper Publications

The first game we selected was the MagneTalk Mealtime Game.  After enjoying our first MagneTalk product so much, I knew this would be a hit, too.  The set includes 48 magnets and a game board that breaks a dinner plate up into the major food groups.  You can have your child sort by food type, create a balanced meal, or make up silly food pairings. I received samples of Stock-It-Pockets that inspired these craft storage ideas. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I think most of us, even those who typically love to keep things organized, have one spot in their home that could use a little TLC.  It’s usually a kitchen drawer or random closet that even when you try to keep it straight, it just doesn’t work.  Kind of like the episode of Friends where Chandler opens the normally neat Monica’s secret “throw all” closet and is shocked by what he sees.

Craft Storage Ideas with Stock-It-Pockets Over-the-Door Organizers

For me, it’s always been my crafting closet or space.  There are just so many spools of ribbon, bags of buttons, bottles of paint and other odds and ends it’s hard to keep it all tidy.  I even bought a few plastic bins which generally keep me on top of the organizational ball, but they just weren’t cutting it.
