Thank you to PBS KIDS for providing us with DVD copies of Dinosaur Train and Super Why! to view.  All words and opinions are 100% my own.

Just because it’s summer break, that doesn’t mean that learning stops.  PBS KIDS want to make continued learning easy for you and your family this summer.  To help with that, they have made available four new DVDs starring some of their most well-loved characters.

PBS KIDS Dinosaur Train: Nature Trackers DVD

In Dinosaur Train: Nature Trackers we were able to join Buddy, Tiny, Shiny, and Don as they traveled on the Dinosaur Train and learned about everything from stargazing to gardening.  If your child loves everything related to the outdoors they will love this DVD. Continue reading »

Thank you to Personalized Gifts for providing personalized items that inspired me to create these tips for decorating a toddler’s bedroom.

Recently we took Bubbles to a local carnival that was in town for the weekend.  The rides were all a bit old for her but we did let her play one of the kiddie games, the kind that you play until you win.  As her prize, she selected a princess poster for her room.

Honestly, I didn’t think we’d get to the poster-decorating stage for a few more years.  But it did make me realize that maybe it was time for Bubbles’ room to get a mini-makeover.  We’re taking down a few of the things that were a little more appropriate for a baby and adding a few elements more appropriate for a toddler.  As we’ve started going through the process, I’ve discovered some tips for a successful mini-makeover that I wanted to share.

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Polly Pocket.  I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.  All opinions are my own.

Growing up I didn’t play with a ton of dolls, but I do remember having a few Polly Pocket toys.  I love that it’s a brand that’s still around today so Bubbles will have the fun of playing with them, also.  Sharing with her the favorite activities and products of my own childhood has been one of my favorite parts of toddler-hood.  It’s fun to see where our interests cross and diverge.

Polly Pocket Polly Fashion Collection #PollyPocket

The Polly Pocket Fashion Collections are one of her favorites.  The outfits are made from this very stretchy material which lets her easily change their clothes, showing off her creative toddler fashions.  They’re also super-portable so my aspiring fashonista can play with them wherever we go.  It’s fun to listen to her choose Polly’s next outfit and adventure.  I’ll hear “purple dress first… blue boots next… purse…  Now we go swimming!” Continue reading »

I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and Goldfish Puffs.  All opinions and words are 100% mine.

Finding snacks that the whole family will enjoy can be a bit tough.  This is especially true when you’re talking about a mix of toddlers and teens.  Pureed fruit and vegetable pouches don’t do a lot for Austin and protein bars aren’t exactly appropriate for Bubbles.

Goldfish Puffs at Target - Great Snack for the Whole Family #makeitgopuff

However the other day I was shopping at my second home – Target – and I saw a new addition in the snack aisle.  Goldfish Puffs.  Now, I’ve tried a lot of Goldfish crackers.  I remember eating them as a kid, myself, and with having a toddler they’re a staple in our house.  We buy the original, cheddar, multi-color, graham, pretzel – all kinds, really.  But Goldfish Puffs weren’t something I had even heard of before.  You can see our whole day of shopping at Target. Thank you to JumpSport for providing us with an iBounce trampoline for kids.

Bubbles has loved to jump and bounce since she the day she discovered she could do it.  She’s actually a fairly (in my humble opinion, of course) athletic 2-year-old and she can get some decent air now and then.  I want to do what I can to encourage being active now while she’s young so that it’s a part of her lifestyle as she gets older.

JumpSport iBounce Trampoline for Kids

I wasn’t sure if she was old enough for a trampoline of any kind but then I found the iBounce trampoline from JumpSport.  It’s rated for ages 2-5 (up to 80 pounds) which made me think that it could be a good starter for Bubbles.  It also has attached handle bars which would give her a little extra stability as she really grows into her jumping skills.
