I received samples of Stock-It-Pockets that inspired these craft storage ideas. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I think most of us, even those who typically love to keep things organized, have one spot in their home that could use a little TLC.  It’s usually a kitchen drawer or random closet that even when you try to keep it straight, it just doesn’t work.  Kind of like the episode of Friends where Chandler opens the normally neat Monica’s secret “throw all” closet and is shocked by what he sees.

For me, it’s always been my crafting closet or space.  There are just so many spools of ribbon, bags of buttons, bottles of paint and other odds and ends it’s hard to keep it all tidy.  I even bought a few plastic bins which generally keep me on top of the organizational ball, but they just weren’t cutting it. This is a sponsored post on behalf of MOS Cord Organizers. All thoughts and words are my own.

I know there are worse problems one can have in life, but I have to say that a snare of cords is pretty high on my list of annoyances.  Between my laptop, all our cell phone chargers, the video monitor base, and the other random items five people can accumulate, sometimes I feel like I need a degree in knots.

I can only imagine it can get frustrating for Ashley in college, too.  She is fortunate enough to have a dorm room to herself, but no dorm room is super-huge, so there’s not a lot of wiggle room.  And she has her Macbook, iPhone, iPod, and other items located on her desk.

MOS Cord Organizers

So for Christmas we’re looking into one of the MOS Organizers.  Each kit comes with a base in scratch-resistant white or black plastic or anodized aluminum.  Also included are 3 magnetic cable ties, a Micro Suction cup to secure the base without need for anything to leave behind residue, and a 3M double-sided adhesive circle that will hold your cables vertically. I received a Keter MasterCart Rolling Tool Box in order to facilitate my review.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

My love for all things organization ins’t confined to the interior of the house with pretty bins or closet storage systems.  I also love outdoor organization items, especially for the garage.  I’ll own up to my inner geek and admit that when they were still on TV, I would watch those garage makeover shows on the home improvement channels.  I always wished they would come to my house!

Fortunately, hubby is of the same mindset when it comes to keeping the garage organized.  One of the first things he did when we moved into this house was get the garage set up.  Racks and shelves, hooks on the walls – lots of ways to keep it tidy and keep things in place. Continue reading »

This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Rubbermaid Bento Organizers but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #HolidayBento http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO.

Are you done your holiday shopping yet?  Not me!  I feel so behind this year, because normally right about now I’m just crossing a stocking stuffer or two off my list to finish up, but this year I’m not even 50% done.

I found myself shopping at Target the other day, trying to knock a few things off of Ashley’s wish list.  She’s already secured a teaching job, so after graduation in the spring, she’ll be moving a few hours away where she’ll have her very first apartment.  Target gift cards were on her list as she knows they carry lots of great items for home decoration and storage plus items to stock her kitchen.

While wandering around the home department I came across the Rubbermaid Bento Organizers.  I was immediately drawn to their design; we have a chair with a similar pattern.  After taking a few minutes to examine them more closely, I was also impressed with the actual construction.  The interior pockets flex to accommodate the items, letting you create just the right size and shape compartments for what you’re storing. Thank you to Tiny Prints for providing myself and a winner with personalized back to school supplies. All words and opinions are mine.

The last few days of summer vacation are dwindling away, and the lazy days of summer are about to turn busy as schools go back in session.  Whether your child is heading off to school for the first time, is returning for their last year, or falls somewhere in between your calendar is likely going to be full of sports practices, after school activities, concerts, school project deadlines and more.  It can get even trickier if you have kids of multiple ages, in different schools, all with their own activities taking place simultaneously.  We try and keep on top of things with phone apps and synced calendars, but sometimes you just need to write things down in a central location.

Guess who can help with that?  Tiny Prints!  Tiny Prints has always been one of my favorite retailers for personalized cards.  We ordered Bubbles’ birth announcements from them and received dozens of compliments.  Their Christmas cards are beautiful, too.  But they also have a pretty extensive line of supplies to help the entire family stay organized.
