Earlier this week, Bubbles and I were discussing Father’s Day and what we’d like to do to surprise Daddy. The conversation definitely put the “Father’s Day buzz” in her ear, because at bedtime that night, she asked if we could read one of the kids books on Father’s Day that we have.

Father's Day Books for Kids

It made me realize that while I had shared a list of Mother’s Day books for kids, that I hadn’t ever shared any of our favorite Father’s Day books. And Father’s Day is just as important as Mother’s Day, so I thought it was time to rectify the situation.

There aren’t quite as many Father’s Day books for older kids as I would like to see – Bubbles prefers more chapter books to board books these days – but there’s enough to help make Daddy’s day special.

This list of Father’s Day books for kids includes some that we’ve owned for awhile, as well as a few new ones that I’d like to add to our bookshelf this year. I hope you find a new favorite too!

I only spotted one or two books that focused on Grampies or Granddads which is too bad. I love the bond my daughter has built with my Dad and it would have been nice to pick up a few books for them to share, too. Hopefully in years to come there will be more to choose from.
