Within the last few weeks we’ve had a few milestones take place here. Bubbles turned six, and she also lost her first tooth – two very exciting happenings when you’re that age.
For as long as I can remember my family has documented milestones like these with a trip to the portrait studio. We almost always went around our birthdays, and then during the holidays my Mom and my Aunt would join forces to corral all six of us cousins for a family portrait.
When Bubbles was very young, I managed to get all three kids together for portraits a handful of times. It’s been a few years since the last professional photos, so I am very happy to be partnering with Portrait Innovations to capture our current milestones.
Our experience at our local Portrait Innovations here in Louisville was very positive. Daryl, our photographer, was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. He worked to bring Bubbles (who was just getting over a bug) out of her shell and quickly won her over.
Daryl also took the time to ask us if we had specific poses in mind (we did) and to offer us time for wardrobe changes. If you’re in the Louisville area, definitely ask for him when you call to book an appointment.
After the portrait session was over we sat down to select our favorite images, and then make final image selections and decide on sizes. In addition to portrait sheets you can choose photo books, wall canvases, cards and more.
We left for lunch and when we returned less than an hour later all the portraits were printed. Having photos same day was definitely convenient. Our package also included a CD copy of all the images taken during the session which is great for more prints or gifts in the future.
