I’ve always appreciated companies that support our military. My grandfather was a WWII vet and many family members are retired or current military. And when Austin decided to join the Army National Guard and become a paratrooper, my respect for groups that give back rose even more.

So I was really excited when Baskin-Robbins reached out and offered to partner on a post to share the news about their Veteran’s Day plans.  They have a few fun things planned for November 11th and I’m looking forward to stopping into our local Baskin-Robbins ice cream shop on Wednesday to participate.

First, Baskin-Robbins is teaming up with the USO to support more than 1.3 million active duty service members around the world by encouraging guests to take a moment out of their day to say thank you.  You can text THANKYOU to 50555 and send a message to our servicemen and women.  I really urge you to do that if you can; messages from supporters make a big difference to those who are serving.

Also in honor of Veteran’s Day Baskin-Robbins will donate 11 cents from every ice cream scoop sold on Veterans day to the USO in honor of all service members, veterans and their families.  Hubby and I have already decided that even though it’s a little chilly out, we’re taking Bubbles to get some ice cream to help add to that total.

Special Edition Camouflage Waffle Cones are available from Baskin-Robbins as part of their salute to veterans this Veteran's Day

Personally, I’m going to be requesting that my ice cream get served up in either the special Camouflage Waffle Cone or Waffle Bowl, which are decorated green, brown and tan.  Now I just need to decide which of their dozens of flavors I want to choose.  Right now I’m kind of leaving towards the Chocolate Fudge, Red Velvet, or Pumpkin Cheesecake ice cream, or the Wild & Reckless sorbet.  My guess is that hubs will choose cookies & cream and Bubbles will probably go with a classic chocolate.

I hope that you will join me in stopping in to your local Baskin-Robbins this Veteran’s Day and order a scoop in honor of those that are serving.  If you’re not already, be sure to follow me on Instagram as I plan to share when we make our visit.

What Baskin-Robbins flavor will you choose to support veterans?
