There are so many exciting things about the new Disney Tomorrowland movie coming on May 22, 2105 that I don’t know where to start.
First, there’s the cast. I have been in love with Huge Laurie since the first episode of House and I’m glad to see he’s coming to the big screen. Add in Judy Greer, Tim McGraw and others and there’s a lot to be happy about.
Second is the production crew. Oscar-winning director Brad Bird (The Incredibles and Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol) has joined Damon Lindelof (writer and co-creater of Lost) to write what sounds like a great screenplay. Bound by a shared destiny former boy-genius Frank (Clooney), jaded by disillusionment, and Casey (Britt Robertson), a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity, embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space known only as “Tomorrowland.” What they must do there changes the world—and them—forever.
