Experts recommend that women consume no more than 6 teaspoons per day of added sugar. But did you know that the average American actually eats 22 teaspoons per day? The extra calories can be hiding places you might not even realize. For example there may be more sugar in your vanilla lattes, fruit-flavored yogurt, salad dressing and cereal than you thought.
For example, check out the Simple Swaps below. Considering that I love cheese, whole wheat bread, and fresh fruit – they’re all easy for me to make. I actually prefer my sandwich to be a sandwich instead of a wrap, so that one, in particular, was great to see. I love when the changes are easy, because I’m more likely to incorporate them into my daily life.
I want to try the Pomegranate Spritzer, YUM!
