I honestly cannot believe that Thanksgiving is next week. It feels like yesterday was September! And following on the heels of Thanksgiving is Christmas.
I started asking the kiddos to make their wishlists (I don’t care how old you are, you’re never too old for a wishlist) for me a couple of weeks ago. They’ve been slow to fill them up, and I’ve been nudging them with the lighthearted threats of empty boxes under the tree unless they start handing them over. To be honest, I’m getting a tiny bit nervous because by this time each year, I’m mostly finishing up lists, not starting them.
Some things that I know will be on Austin’s list will be Under Armour shirts, PS3 games, and things for his truck. Ashley will likely want books, things for her new apartment (to go along with her new teaching job!), and clothes. Bubbles has no problem at all coming up with items she would like: a new LeapPad or anything Planes-related, in the Fisher-Price toddler catalog, or involving Disney will make her quite happy.

It’s nice to have some ideas to work from, but I’m hoping they give me a few more specifics in time for Black Friday. I had been kind of disappointed in the previews I had flipped through as the prices hadn’t really seemed all that great. But when you combine them with the Black Friday sales from Coupons.com the savings start to look a little sweeter.
