The first thing I would like to reach for in the mornings is coffee.  I’m bleary-eyed and a little fuzzy-brained when I wake up, and my brain calls for coffee.  The only problem is that I generally get up a couple of hours before Bubbles does, and as she’s a very light sleeper, I’m afraid to run the coffee machine until she wakes.

There is a new alternative, though, that I recently tried that makes me quite happy.  Green Mountain, one of my favorite coffee brands, now offers Espresso Roast Iced Latte.  A refrigerated beverage, there’s no brewing involved so I don’t run the risk of waking anyone up in order to pour myself a glass.

The Iced Latte comes in both Mocha and Vanilla.  I almost always reach for mocha when it’s an option, but a couple of weeks ago I had a vanilla cappuccino and it was delicious.  So I changed things up and chose the Vanilla for my first taste-test.  It was delicious!

Green Mountain uses 100% Arabica beans for bold, smooth espresso flavor, and blends it with real milk and cream.  Both the Vanilla and Mocha, in 48 fl. oz. bottles – are available at most major grocery retailers in the refrigerated dairy or tea & juice cases.  And there’s a $1 off coupon that you can print to save a little on your first purchase.

In the mornings I like to enjoy the great taste of Green Mountain Iced Latte alone, or if I’m hungry enough for breakfast I might pair it with a muffin or breakfast sandwich.  I also sometimes sip it in the afternoons or evenings, and when I do, I may indulge in a handful of chocolate candies or maybe even a piece of coffee cake.  One great taste deserves another, right?
