Thank you to Disney for covering my trip expenses to allow me to attend this great event! All words and opinions are my own.
Some days you wake up to happy surprises. You find $5 in the pocket of the jeans you put on, your spouse filled your gas tank so you don’t have to stop on the way to work, maybe the person in front of you at the coffee shop pays for your latte. And then there’s the surprise I woke up to the other day.
On that day, I opened an email that I had to read a couple of times to actually soak in. I was being invited to travel to LA and attend the red carpet premiere of Thor: The Dark World (in theaters 11/8)! Yep, that’s right – myself, along with 24 other bloggers, will soon be jumping on planes and heading to California. The Avengers and all the stand-alone movies that support the characters is one of my all-time favorite franchises, so this is incredibly exciting for me.
We’re also lucky enough to interview Tom Hiddleston who plays Loki in Thor: The Dark World. Even though Loki is technically a bad guy, I really like the character so getting to meet the man behind him and ask some questions will rock.
We will also be interviewing Jaimie Alexander. She plays Sif, an Asgardian warrior. She looks a little bad-a, doesn’t she?
There are also some other fun things on our (super-busy) agenda. We’ll be checking out the Thor: Treasures of Asgard exhibit at Disneyland (which for all my love of Disney World, I’ve never been to Disneyland), plus attending a press day at Disney Toon Studios for the in-home release of Disney’s Planes (available 11/19) and getting a sneak-peak of Marvel’s new in-home release Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United (available 12/3).
Needless to say, I’m feeling incredibly blessed right now. I can’t wait to share more news with you leading up to the event, and lots (lots) of pictures and tweets while we’re gone. So be sure you’re following the hashtags #ThorDarkWorldEvent and #DeliveryManEvent plus follow me on Twitter and Instagram so you don’t miss a thing (like peeks of all the other Thor: The Dark World stars on the red carpet).
Lucky lady! Have a wonderful time and I can’t wait to follow along with you. We are definitely looking forward to those movies.
Thank you Kari! I’m still pinching myself, to be honest!
I think if I got to meet Tom Hiddleston someday I would faint. This man does it for me & I am so jealous that you are getting to interview him. Lucky girl!!!! My heart is beating a mile a minute imagining meeting him. Aaaaah, he is just so handsome & sweet.
He definitely is easy eye candy, you’re right! Can’t wait to share my interview photos with you!
It’s going to be lots of fun – see you there! 😀
I’m seriously a little giddy over it! 😀
This trip sounds absolutely amazing! I’ve been trying to come up with questions for Tom to be interview ready Look forward to meeting you!
I can’t wait to meet you all, either! I know, I feel like I should ask something a little more hard-hitting than “Do you know your eyes are amazing?”
