Smoobee No Cry Brush
Before Bubbles turned one she loved bath time. Toys, splashing – what’s not to love? But as she got older and her hair grew longer she started to like bath time less and less. She did not enjoy the process of washing her hair, but she really did not like what came after – brushing. Bath time quickly turned into me trying to wrestle her into the tub long enough to wash her and her hair, while trying to keep her from clawing her way out. Fun, right?
At ABC Kids earlier this year, however, I learned about a new product called the Smoobee. It claimed to be a “magic, No Cry Brush”. I’m a bit of a skeptic – especially when items call themselves magic – and thought the brush was probably for polite, well-mannered children that loved to sit like Rapunzel and have her hair brushed. During every hair wash adventure, though, it kept popping into my head. I wondered if the claims were true and decided the only way to know for sure was to try it.
The first day after it arrived Bubbles saw me pick up the brush and immediately tried to run off. I tracked her down, sat with her, and tentatively started to brush her hair. Oh. My. Gosh. The only wonder left in my head at this point was to wonder why I hadn’t ordered one of these earlier. Even Bubbles looked up at me like “What the heck is that?” She sat there so patiently while I finished brushing her hair. Since then she even asks for the brush and will brush her own hair.
Smoobees are hand assembled and made from wood, making them extremely durable. They are so confident in their product they come with a lifetime warranty and a 100% no-questions-asked refund policy. The brushes come in turquoise pink, and purple and can be further customized with Smoobee gem sticker packs. They retail for $24.95; that may sound like more than you’ve paid for a brush in the past, but you’ll only need one brush to grow with your child. They’re currently on sale for $19.99 right now.

My daughter hates having her hair brushed
Forget my kid, I need one of these for myself! My son’s hair is relatively short, but mine is long and really thick. When it gets tangled, I want to cry while brushing it! I’ve found over the years that products designed to help eliminate tangles and tears in kids work better for me than stuff designed for adults.
I think you’d love it, Nikki! I use it on my own hair, too, and really like it
