Someone mentioned the other day that our children are much better dressed than we were as children. While I think my mother did a great job dressing me, the fashions of the day then just don’t compare to what’s available today. If you look in my closet and then you look in Bubbles closet, you’ll quickly release that the smallest member of our household has probably the widest wardrobe selections of us all; it’s just too hard to pass up all the cute toddler gear!
The clothes from Wobabybasics definitely fall into the category of cute and have stuck in my mind all this time from when I met them at the ABC Kids Expo last year. Based in Shanghai, Wobabybasics is an innovative apparel company created in 2007 by Sherry Poon after the birth of her first child. Sherry combines her experiences as an architect, environmentalist and parent to re-create children’s basics with sustainable materials, simple, nostalgic styling and modern practicality. They use only certified chemical-free textiles to ensure that your baby’s tender skin is wrapped in pure softness.
Bubbles received the Wobabybasics Big Swing Organic Reversible Maxi Dress to try. The reversible aspect appealed to me a great deal because, well, let’s face it – toddlers are not exactly clean by nature. If she happens to get a few “snackies” on herself or spill a drink while we’re out running errands or at a restaurant – turn that dress inside out and we’re good as new! Until the next spill, anyway.
The clothes from Wobabybasics are really well made and seem to be of excellent quality. You can usually tell pretty quickly if something is going to hold up to more than a half-dozen washes, and this already has so I expect it to last quite a few more. The dress is part of their summer collection which hasn’t been released online just yet, but you can purchase other items directly from their website. Use promo code CHILD10 to take 10% off until June 15th, 2012. They do have a similar dress in blue and brown that would be $27 with the promo code!
I received the above dress in order to facilitate my review. No other compensation was received and all opinions, as always, are 100% that of myself and my family.
