Copycat Texas Roadhouse Rolls
  • ¼ C warm (not hot) water
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 C milk
  • 1½ T butter
  • ¼ C sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3.5 C flour
  1. Fit stand mixer with a dough hook.
  2. Pour water into the bowl of a stand mixer. Add yeast and allow to dissolve.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat milk and butter together in microwave until the butter melts. Allow to cool until just warm.
  4. Add sugar, egg, and salt to the butter/milk mixture, then slowly pour into the bowl of the stand mixer.
  5. Add 2 cups of flour and mix until combined. Add the remaining flour and knead with hook for 5 minutes.
  6. Grease a bowl; add dough and turn to coat.
  7. Let dough double in size.
  8. Preheat oven to 350.
  9. Punch dough down and form into roll shapes. Let rise again until double, around 30 minutes.
  10. Bake for 10-15 minutes, until golden. Immediately brush with melted butter and serve.
