I take hundreds of photos of my boys because I always hope to get one good one out of the bunch. I really need to work on my photography. I leave family portraits up to the professionals but they are not always around for those special moments. I can't wait to get a better camera as all I have right now is my phone but it works in a pinch.

Some people like to hand it all over to a professional but if you've got a good camera, sometimes the pics you can take in your own backyard are priceless! Cute pics, by the way!

What a doll! She is just so cute. Patience and dedication. Also, camera with the action setting so when you click it will take a dozen pictures, you are bound to get the right one in the mix :)

I love taking pics of babies or kids at an off angle, so they are not center. It somehow makes the pic look a little more artistic and draws my eye to them even more. And your little one is such a cutie!!!! Oh my so so adorbs!

The one tip i would give any parent that is getting ready to take photos of a baby is patience! You might never get the one shot one you want because a baby isn't cooperating (and they don't have to)

The best decision you can make is to stop taking photos and try again later. I also have many photos that have become my favorites from "rapid" shooting. (point..click...shoot...repeat over and over)

Now if someone can tell me how to get my 4 year-old to let me take his picture again.....sigh

I don't think you can have too many pictures. I have disks and disks full of them. I found I can't remember to write down milestones but I can photograph them.
